A repository is a database in which scientific publications and other research results are collected and stored. The CWI Repository contains the metadata and often the full text versions of scientific CWI publications and can be consulted online and can be harvested through OAI protocol. Naturally it contains journal articles, (chapters in) books, proceedings and theses but also media presentations and lectures.

Your contribution

To maintain a high level of visibility to the world all CWI publications should be entered into the Repository, preferably accompanied by a full text version. This can be accomplished by entering all data yourself with the button below, or by sending your pdf, or link to archived materials, to repository@cwi.nl

Including the last author’s version of your text is always possible, some publishers like Elsevier and Springer even allow the final author’s version to be published in a repository. NWO is an advocate for Open Access, so at all times submit a full text to the repository.

Benefits for scientists

• Your publications are quickly harvested and thus gain worldwide visibility, data and text are available to the national webportal NARCIS, European DRIVER Information Space and internationally through Google Scholar.
• Research data and results in the repository are harvested and aggregated in the E-depot of the Royal Library.
• Open access to research maximizes impact, making it more productive and effective, it results in continued references and more citations.

Benefits for CWI

The CWI Repository has an important function as ‘shop-window’ for the institute, it can attract prospective staff, students, industry and other stakeholders.
