On June 4, 2015, in the Science Park of Amsterdam, an experiment was conducted. The experiment was initiated by ByBorre in partnership with Distributed and Interactive Systems of CWI.
It involved biometric, heart rate and motion sensors wired on the hands of a selected group of spectators attending a presentation (by designer Borre Akkersdijk). The goal was to sense their level of engagement.
At the same time the designer was also connected to these sensors. But for him they were embedded in his sweater. In which conductive yarns were integrated in the textile through a signature knitting proces which made his garment a device for recording data.
